Today at forest school we learned some exciting facts about chickens.

For example, did you know that the hen talks to her eggs before they hatch?

We made some nice things for the chickens and we also collected some fresh, warm eggs from our mother chickens.

Then we took the eggs to the brown table and wrote the date on them with coloured pens because we don't want them to get out of date.

At forest school we saved some animals from suffering from litter.

We went on to the playground and the field and picked up all the litter.

Today we made a comfy chicken hospital.

We used old wood and turned it into a beautiful letter picture.

For our hospital we used wood, logs, two pieces of flat wood and planks.

So that's how we made it!

As soon as we had completed it we found our first customer, the ginger chicken with the white bottom.

We also made lovely glitter cards.

Christmas cards, hollow wood Santa Claus people and Christmas decorations.

They are for our Christmas shop which will also be selling seasonal foods, made by the children, such as: pickled beetroot, pickled cabbage, pickled onions, sweet chilli sauce, jam, chutney and apple sauce.

All the vegetables and fruit come from our allotment, about half a mile away from our school.

All our profits go to forest school and to our friends in Kampala, Uganda.

We are raising money so that they can have a kitchen garden just like ours.
