Sutton Valence Primary School

A A A

Our mission is to ensure we all participate in the constant quest of knowledge, learning and adventure so that each individual can build upon their core strengths to aspire to make a real difference.

OFSTED

Sutton Valence Primary School had an OFSTED inspection in December 2017, we are extremely pleased and proud to be able to report to you that the school has been assessed as being a “Good” school overall and in four of the five key categories of assessment;

  • Effectiveness of leadership and management,
  • Quality of teaching, learning and assessment,
  • Personal development, behaviour and welfare,
  • Early years provision.

We were last inspected in November 2015 and were then judged to be delivering a Requires Improvement service in all the above categories during a period of considerable change. To have gained Requires Improvement, at that stage of change, took a huge amount of focus and hard work from everyone to achieve that grade. Therefore we are even more pleased that the continued focus and determination has been acknowledged so positively for the school with a Good grading.

To have improved from Requires Improvement and now to Good in such a short time is a truly fantastic achievement and is a reflection of the time and support given by everyone connected with the school and who have shown a huge commitment in helping to make Sutton Valence Primary the best school it can be.

This result is nothing less than the school community deserves and we would like to thank you all for your contribution. We have all worked extremely hard over the last three years; the journey has been an extremely rewarding one (if exhausting!) and we can see the positive benefits of this throughout the school. OFSTED’s recognition of this achievement through the awarding of a ‘Good’ assessment is a positive validation of all our effort.

We are now looking forward to continuing the journey and building on our success.
