Sports Premium Funding

The government is committed to provide funding to keep people health by playing sport; this is good for individuals and communities. Schools and local clubs are the first step to competition at the highest level which helps improve the United Kingdom’s reputation as a sporting nation.

The government funds Sport England and School Games which provide opportunities for young people to play competitive sport and to keep playing sport throughout their lives. The good news is that the government has committed to provide funding until August 2024. This is encouraging as teachers will receive more guidance and support to enable them to deliver high quality PE lessons.
