8th March, Year 6 Forest School

First of all, we had a 'Lost At Sea' challenge! Water was coming into the yacht and the group needed to be rescued as soon as possible. Our aim was to order 15 items, considering their importance. We learned how different equipment will help us and how we can use things like mirrors (to reflect sunlight and, hopefully bring help) and plastic sheeting (to collect rainwater and to protect and shelter us). We worked well as a team, discussing each picture/image.
Outside we were using a bow saw to saw wooden discs to make plant labels for our allotment. Some people were working in teams to make rope swings.
