Welcome back to a new school year!

It has been a fantastic and busy start to the year in class, with everyone coming back together as a team and getting excited for what the year ahead has in store.

FUTURISTIC FIVE have voted in their school council reps for the year. Congratulations Elodie and Alfred!

Term 1 information:

• We will be welcoming visitors on four Monday afternoons to teach us to become Wellbeing Navigators.
• PE will take place on Wednesdays and Thursdays this term.
• We will be updating children's '100 Things' activity books on Fridays. Please encourage them to take part and bring in their books to share what they have been getting up to and to collect their reward stickers.

W.B. 14th September :

Firstly, it was lovely to meet all families that could attend the year 5 'meet the teacher' afternoon on Thursday. I have attached the slides below with all information for you to refer to if you missed it.

On Monday, we welcomed the Wellbeing Navigators for our first session - this included brainstorming what wellbeing means to us as individuals and as a whole, particularly in school, and beginning to identify the skills and qualities we already have that we can bring to the role.

The children also got stuck into their first bit of writing this week, showing off their creativity and technique of creating imagery with some fabulously descriptive setting descriptions of an Ancient Greek labyrinth. Well done, year 5!
