"The constant quest for knowledge, learning and adventure..."
At Sutton Valence Primary School we help children develop the skills and knowledge that enables them to communicate creatively with the world at large, through spoken and written language. We also support children to enjoy and appreciate literature and its rich variety.
Weekly Writing Awards:
In Key Stage assemblies, teacher award certificates for exemplary work of the week.
Most Improved Tea:
At the end of each term we celebrate our most improved writers with a special tea. This is open to all children as we believe everyone can improve their writing with the correct support and Quality First teaching. These children get to share their English books with Miss Terry and even receive a medal for all their hard work.
We believe it is extremely important to moderate our writing as a school and often use staff meetings to do this. We also meet up with other schools to cross moderate to ensure accuracy. This also helps develop our staff and move learning forward for everyone.
